Snapped – Standards against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
Last updated: 2025-01-01
This page sets out Snapped’s externally published standards against
Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). They apply to
all users, all content, and all features of the Snapped app and related
services.
1. Zero-tolerance policy
Snapped has a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any
content or behavior involving child sexual abuse, exploitation, or
endangerment. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Any sexual content involving a minor (any person under the age of 18),
including real, edited, or AI-generated imagery or videos.
-
Any content that sexualizes minors, including “suggestive” or
fetishizing depictions, comments, or role-play involving minors.
-
Any request, encouragement, or grooming of minors for sexual purposes,
including attempts to obtain nude images, sexual favors, or personal
contact information for sexual intent.
-
Any sharing, distribution, promotion, or storage of known or suspected
child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
-
Any content that instructs others how to create, hide, or distribute
CSAM or how to groom or exploit minors.
2. Age requirements and protection of minors
-
Snapped is intended for users who meet the
minimum age requirement specified in the applicable
jurisdiction and platform rules (for example, 13+ or higher where
required).
-
We do not allow any sexual or sexually suggestive content
involving minors or appearing to involve minors, regardless of context
or intent.
-
We do not allow adults to contact minors for romantic, sexual, or
exploitative purposes through our service.
3. Prohibited content and behavior (CSAE-related)
The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate action:
-
Uploading, sharing, or attempting to share CSAM or any sexual content
involving minors.
-
Using Snapped to groom, lure, or establish inappropriate relationships
with minors.
-
Requests, dares, or “challenges” asking minors to undress, pose
sexually, or engage in sexual behavior.
-
Fantasizing, role-playing, or praising any form of sexual activity
involving minors.
-
Linking to external content that contains or appears to contain CSAM or
child sexual exploitation.
4. Detection, moderation, and enforcement
We combine automated systems and
human review to detect, review, and act on potential
violations of this CSAE policy, as allowed by law and platform rules.
Where permitted, this may include:
-
Automated detection signals and hashing technology to identify known
CSAM.
-
User reports and in-app reporting tools.
-
Manual review by trained moderators.
Enforcement actions may include, without limitation:
- Immediate removal of violating content.
- Temporary or permanent suspension of user accounts.
-
Reporting of suspected CSAM and users involved to relevant law
enforcement authorities and/or hotlines, where legally required or
appropriate, including sharing logs and account details as permitted by
law.
5. Reporting child sexual abuse and exploitation
If you encounter any content on Snapped that you believe involves child
sexual abuse, exploitation, or endangerment:
-
Use the in-app reporting tools (where available) to flag the content or
user.
-
Or contact us directly via email:
support@snapped.hu
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law
enforcement authorities first. You may also report suspected online child
sexual exploitation to dedicated hotlines where available in your
country.
6. Data handling and cooperation with authorities
When we become aware of suspected CSAM or child sexual exploitation, we
may:
- Preserve relevant logs and evidence in line with legal requirements.
-
Cooperate with law enforcement or appropriate child protection agencies,
as required by law.
-
Take steps to prevent further spread of illegal material, including
blocking accounts and hashing/removal of content.
7. Education and continuous improvement
We are committed to continuously reviewing and improving our policies and
technical measures to better prevent, detect, and remove CSAE content.
We encourage parents, guardians, and young users to learn about online
safety, privacy, and how to recognize grooming or exploitative behavior.
